Goals and Objetives
The Fundación Escuela Latinoamericana de Redes (EsLaRd) is a non-profit institution dedicated to promoting information and communication technologies in Latin America and the Caribbean..
EsLaRed's objectives are :
- Develop, promote and disseminate in Latin America and the Caribbean, human resources development, training activities and research in the areas of Telecommunications, Computer Networks, and their applications for the improvement of education, health, productivity and inclusivnes.
- Design research and development plans on technology transfer in order to facilitate scientific and technical progress in Latin America and the Caribbean. For such purposes, the foundation will have the following functions:
- Carry out activities that contribute to research or to the training of researchers, such as courses, workshops, seminars, symposia, conferences and national and international conferences.
- Provide care, advice, assistance, guidance and research services in the areas of telecommunications, computing, computer networks and computing in general, with special attention to the implications that these technologies have for society.
